Another adventure, this time inland. Heading to Stirling, and its castle built on the rocks.

The main purpose of the day was to visit Stirling Castle. After climbing up the hill and through the small town, we arrived at its gates. The visit really took us a long time, the place is filled with little rooms and different buildings. Interestingly, at certain times of the day, actors in costume walk around the castle telling its story, a really original way to learn more about the history of the area. It was here that William Wallace won a memorable victory over the English armies.

Around the castle, a cemetery (another one!) covers the hill. The place is truly magical (if you can say that about a cemetery), but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

After that, we went back down to the city, with a small diversions to a museum, where we did the treasure hunt (the most fun part to be honest). The chance for us to win a candy and a postcard.

Then, we went to the other side of the city, to admire the old stone bridge, and the monument erected to the glory of William Wallace, in the distance. We then went to a small hill with a beheading stone at the top (original though).

It's getting dark, time to get back on the bus to Dundee!
